Refund policy

At Givea, we value transparency and donor trust. Since Givea operates as a donation and cause-based contribution platform, our return and refund policy differs from that of traditional e-commerce businesses.
1. Nature of Contributions
All payments made on Givea are voluntary donations or cause-specific contributions intended to support social initiatives and campaigns. These payments are not purchases of physical goods or services.
Therefore:
• Returns are not applicable
• Exchanges are not applicable
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered only under exceptional circumstances, including:
• Duplicate payment for the same transaction
• Payment debited but transaction failed or not recorded
• Incorrect amount charged due to a technical error
• Unauthorized or system-generated payment error
Refunds are not applicable in the following cases:
• Change of mind after successful donation
• Dissatisfaction after campaign proof is shared
• Once the donation has been allocated or utilized
3. Refund Request Process
Refund requests must be raised within 7 days from the date of transaction.

To process a refund request, donors must provide:
• Donor Name
• Registered Mobile Number or Email
• Transaction ID / Payment Reference Number
• Date of Transaction
• Reason for Refund Request
Requests without sufficient or verifiable information may not be processed.
4. Refund Processing Timeline
Once approved, refunds will be initiated within 5–7 business days.
• Refunds are credited to the original payment method
• Actual credit time depends on the bank or payment service provider
5. Campaign Execution & Transparency
Givea follows a transparency-first approach.
• Photo and/or video proof is shared wherever applicable
• Updates may be communicated via WhatsApp, email, or website
Refunds cannot be requested once:
• Campaign execution has begun, or
• Donation has been allocated
6. Tax & Donation Receipt Disclaimer
If a donation receipt or tax benefit certificate(10 BE) has already been issued:
• Refunds may not be possible, or
• The receipt may be cancelled or revised as per applicable laws
